it’s been a few days since my last post. i think the most exciting thing was riding in the cab of a semi that was carrying a 73′ long trailer full of kayaks. the only thing that worried me was noel had shotgun and i was sitting on the dude’s bed. who knows what dirty cross-country truckers do in their beds. i look around me and there’s penthouse and hustler mags lying in his magazine rack…i’m sure it wasn’t exactly a sanitary environment..but it was awfully fun running over medians and curbs and watching dumbass cars cutting off such a big truck.

so today was my last day off till camping. i now have to make it through 6 continuous days of work before i am able to have 4 days off for camping. i also just remembered i should really start on my SOM exam seeing that it’s nearing the end of the month deadline. or i could care less hahah. today was spent getting my car aircared and then re-insured. talk about a costly procedure that yields nothing for a car that’s only 2 years old. i passed with a 0.00 emission score for all the tests…i swear the aircare for such new cars is a total cash cow for the bc government..it better be put towards that new skytrain that they’ve pseudo-approved for richmond.

anyways another year goes by..and once again i can not pay for my insurance all at once or else i’d be broke..so i’ve once again decided to go for the monthly payments…at least my discount increased this year..but so did the premiums so in the end the discount didn’t do much other than curb the increase.

anyways after all the aircaring etc..i went over to jorge’s to pick up howie and eric from there we travelled down to the friendly neighbourhood surplus store where i aquired a new hat and we checked out various gadgets and widgets. ie. the throat mic…we all agreed we must pick em up…they shall prove very usefull.

anyways i’m happy with my new hat..and hopefully i’ll be the only one with it for awhile…i’ve noticed more people with my previous surplus store hat..then again i’m sure the other people probably paid a huge premium by buying it from various brand names like ecko or something…bwah whatever…

anyways tonight i whipped together a nice 3.5 minute vegas video..so hopefully soon i’ll have the whole thing finished…FINALLY. however this is from the first vegas trip..so hahah it may be another while before the second one comes out too.

wow today turned out to be a rather costly day. however it was packed with quite the activities.

i awoke today to the sounds of footsteps running back and forth across my roof…not to mention the snapping of a tape measure. by the time i got out of bed to investigate there was no one in sight…so i find it rather strange. i still have no clue who was on my roof. i should’ve just awoken and ran outside and taken away the ladder and demanded a reason for the person being on the roof before returning the ladder.

anyways so i decided that since i finaly had a day off..i should really get my brake pads replaced seeing that they were down to 10% when i got my new tires. i suppose it was for safety..but honestly it’s a costly procedure. especially when the shop uses OEM Honda pads…that cost $75 and the fact that they had to machine my rotors as well. ah well safety first in the end i suppose. so now my brakes are much less squishier and more responsive, not to mention that my hand brake has also been adjusted and now only goes up 3 centimetres before it’s fully engaged. wheras before i could probably yank the hand brake up a good 6 inches!

well after all was said and done, eric, howie and myself bounced over to metro to catch a matinee screening of the matrix reloaded….i must say it was alright but definitely did not live up to my expectations..then again it had to live up to 4 years worth of expectations. i strongly believe reloaded will redeem itself once the final movie of the trilogy comes out and the story is concluded. it’ll fit much better in the grand scheme of things.

after this we then went to joyce station to pick up wai and headed over to lougheed’s foggs for some honey garlic wings as requested. we polished those off and we left the establishment with new monikers. now to be referred to as sirs, madams, and misses…SDK, ZRT, MP9, and of course Z1V9. excellent. this will add to JDM and the WRC.

anyways after the night of wings we then headed down to best friend’s house and headed to the green room to catch some acts. crystal started things out with a sound that was very much like a mix of cheryl crow, kreviazuk, and mclachlan. the last 2 songs of her set were very much in the style of alannis. definitely a nice voice.

next was shen’s friend Emily Jordan…i think i was more amused at the fact that Chin from Bass is Base was up on stage with her as her producer. Same dude that produced Swollen members for your info…anyways the whole time whilst i was trying to enjoy this the fruity guy next to me was getting on my nerves. he had the most exuberent arm motions when he talked and constantly invaded my personal space with his arm motions etc. after maintaining my composure till the end of the final set i finally got up and walked off since he just wouldn’t get the hint…

we all left the lounge and shortly after jen decided she’d like to support crystal and purchase her demo cd.

this was all that concluded the night…so as you can see…i’m now very broke and quite satisfied.

oh yes another funny incident is the call from rogers..same chick calls..same chick leaves the same message “hi this is a message for timothy lo, we’re currently hiring for part time customer support positions and we’ve received your resume…” and i’m thinking…deja vu..i’ve already received this call and i’ve already had an interview…so now i know they’re just as disorganized as forzani..must’ve somehow seen me back int he pile..unless it’s what i think it is.

i emailed in my resume as well as submitting my resume through ivan as well..so perhaps the two applications ended up giving me two opportunities…however it’s the same chick..would you now notice it’s the same resume you’ve already called back for?

anyways some people are odd…either that they just don’t have the memory.

so like the title says…wow what a weekend i had. i can’t remember the last time i’ve actually had a weekend off, like saturday, sunday. i must say it was quite the interesting weekend. if you haven’t noticed by now saturday was my birthday…so this is what happened.

for my birthday the first adventure for the day was finally getting my tattoo done. eric and i had gone in to sacred heart a few days prior to set up and appointment and work things out…i brought along the sketch that i did of what i wanted and we quickly were set up for the day of my birthday. the time arrived to head down and eric so graciously picked me up from my place around 2:30ish…after which we embarked on our journey to sacred heart on tenth. once we arrived we waited a little for our tattoo artist to finish up with his client. it quickly became our time at which eric and i had to decide who was to get their tattoo first. as mentioned by eric we settled this the man’s way. ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS. We followed the rules outlined at the World Rock Paper Scissors Society and I defeated eric’s Paper with my Scissors. It was not a game of luck…it was a game the involved psychological warfare. We were both aware of the whole “Rock Always Wins!” mentality and thus we both went with anything but the Rock..which was intended to throw the other person of course. Seeing that I won, I decided that eric should go first…

all in all, 2 hours later we received our tattoos and we were both happily bandaged up and sent on our way.

after which we returned to my humble abode to participate in some friendly videogaming competition a la NHL 2003. The time quickly came for us to depart to Milestones for my birthday dinner…I must thank all of you for coming out and turning this day into one of my most memorable birthdays. and of course Eric and Cee for planning the whole thing…cuz we all know that I sure as hell wouldn’t plan my own birthday.

Anyways after dinner came time for some more friendly competion at Jive. I somehow managed to stay on the table for quite some time before Eric knocked me of my pedestal of power. It was all in great fun and that activity concluded my night.

Sunday is another story…I was awaken by my best friend in the morn and i quickly got ready and zoomed off to her house where she Xterra’d my ass to church for a 8:30 service…*groan* that is darned painful. all in all it was pretty good..i haven’t been to church in so long…stupid sport chek work…yes…so after that i headed over to mandy’s to help her buy a PDA. I don’t understand why you would spend so much by the way on a pda packed with featuers you don’t use..but hey it’s not my money…

anyways so after that..the night was filled with more videogaming..and my very first Serbian Club party thingy majiggy. It was rather interesting, and I think all us “Azn’s” found it rather different getting accustomed to Serb music. it was another experience to add to life i guess…

anyways after all this we ended up meeting up at a karaoke joint to rally up more troops for food at golden award. and thus concludes my crazy weekend..of which i’ve hadt he most minmal of sleep.

click click is the sound my water bottle is currently making. it’s driving me insane. it’s something to do with the seal and the vacuum i’ve created by sucking on the nozzle. speaking of annoying sounds. my car. there was a sound that’s been plaguing my car for a week. some sort of weird rattling / vibration that i couldn’t figure out. today i was victorious. i found the cause. it’s a rather stupid matter, it was simply the dual-shock playstation controller that was sitting under the passenger seat, it was vibrating up against the spring that moves the chair back and forth. the two together caused a most annoying vibrato. anyways that was dealt with promptly and should no longer bother me.

flipped a coin with del today to see who would work all day. pretty lame if you ask me. it should be his duty to work all day shoudl any manager call in sick. i mean i told him i was sick. and it was pretty clear. plus i always have to stay. luckily heads always win. screw 50/50, i’ll let him believe that. statistically yes it’s supposed to be 50/50…but to the real world…heads always wins. so thus i am at home.

being at home resulted in my parents taking me out for my birthday dinner…went to dem bones, had the new orleans ribs…because i’m missing the new orleans experience….i must say they’re nothing like ribs in new orleans, maybe cuz it was that little chinaman in the kitchen cooking my ribs. they were tasty, don’t get me wrong…just nothing like new orleans.

anyways the song’s been changed to joshua redman…a favourite of mine that i’ve been following from back in the day when i used to play the sax myself. he’s a sax god. and no i’m not gay.

this sucks…i’m sick..officiallly. so official it has 3 “L’s” in “officiallly”. i think i got it from noel because of our close contact at work..however this seems to be the same virus that’s running rampant throughout the entire sport chek / coast mountain complex. Sylvia tells me i should blame Del, because he’s the carrier monkey that brought it into the work place and infected everyone else. anyways so thus i feel so weak and crappy.

so saturday’s coming up and it’s my birthday…this will entail lunch with the rents and an afternoon appointment. afterwhich i’m free to do whatever…still trying to figure out what’s going on. as you may or may not know..i hate planning my birthday..i’ve hardly ever celebrated…so therefore all of you asking me what’s going on for it….will just have to wait and see the same way i do…it’ll probably just entail an invite out to a dinner, followed by some sort of activity. i don’t know yet…if anyone else does..please inform me so that i might inform those who are particularly pesky about the whole situation..*cough*mandy*cough*.
