oooh that burns

it’s been a little while since the last entry. it’s definitely time for a revamp. it looks like the site is falling apart…partially due to a little change in hosting services.

my no-technology / no-contact days went off pretty much without a hitch…well at least for me…it was fun. no cell phone. no internet. no house phone. all routed into the deep abyss of nowhere. i realized our house line is completely useless…even my parents now are getting fed up with the calls that come in and just erase answering machine messages without really listening to them. haha might as well eliminate that too and have that line ring into a abyss.

i realized people that expect things from me piss me off far greater than i initially thought. maybe “piss off” isn’t quite the right description. they’re more of a childish nuissance that you want to just kick aside and say fuck off to. if you want something..ask…i’m more likely to comply than if you just expect. another thing i realized? people are incredibily immature when it comes to relationships…whether they be friendships, romance, aquaintances, or relationships with co-workers / partners…some people just don’t get it. it’s all about boundries. each type of relationship has it’s own boundries depending on the type of relationship and with who…friends, family, gf/bf, boss, co-worker, stranger, bus driver, yadda yadda.

relationships pivot on a few contributing factors. tenure. boundries. role. respect. each factor is seperate from all others and at no point are they ever required to rely on any of the other. however there is a fine balance in the relation between the various factors. for example tenure and respect tend to correspond….however boundries is what sets everything in place. and respect for boundries is important.

everyone is at their own place in terms of how they deal with things..and unfortunately some people never learn or adapt enough to figure out how to co-exist with other people. kind of disturbing.

on another note people need to keep their thoughts to themselves and shut the fuck up if they don’t know what they’re talking about…..makes you sound stupid as hell…btw this is all in regards to my msn names…you’d think in this day and age of information it would be extremely easy to just quickly look up something you don’t know…course i guess if you speak first and think later it would never occur to figure out waht it is you’re talking about.

i still find poppin as well as lockin sexy as hell…specially if a girl does it.
kufi’s and trilby’s are awesome…bringing back some much needed style.

i think i’m just annoyed lately with people who over exert themselves in conversations when they hold no substance.

if you’re such a fan shouldn’t you know that jarvis church is gerald eaton who got that name from his favourite streets in TO? who’s the lead singer of philosopher kings and produced nelly furtado under his second alias “Track” as part of track and field…and who’s bandmates formed prozzak (btw angela kaiser had dated jason levine apparently…but you’d only know that if you worked with her no blame there)

technically wma is better in terms of it’s compression algorithm…it’s just mp3’s are far more popular. like beta and vhs….

yes fighter jets run on jet fuel…but the word “gas” has become a synonym for fuel….not necessarily referring to “gasoline”…like a runner running out of gas…being exhausted..lacking fuel …

it’s all about context, expression and delivery. why can’t some people understand that? knowledge backs a lot of that up. if you can’t deliver then just stay quiet…you’ll probably learn something.

enough of the annoyances… i’m going to be happy…

happy part.

tatt start 05.01.04. possible $8000 contract on my hands in the near future with recurring contracts should the first two run well. contracts tie in with film school education scores the job related to education. oh and kaila’s a total babe.

design 360…destination japan

i think it’s time for me to experiment with the fusion of all aspects of “me” into some sort of art form and channel it through this site. after discovering all these great creative minds and communties it’s got all the creative juices flowing…

in case some of you are not aware…i’ve been spending the past 6mths working on slowly developing a tattoo design which i’ve finally completed..spent the past month now visting my fave artist mr shea for consultations to toss ideas back and forth and to hash out the realities of the limits …

it will all being soon.

along with this i’ve embarked on a grand new personal project to create a photo essay of sorts of all my wonderful friends… so far currently just the female version exists right now….which once it’s close enough to somewhat finalized i’ll start posting it…seeing as this shall be a lifelong on going project me thinks..

as for the guys still working on developing a theme…

and soon this site will be morphed into a collective…with zen like appeal (hopefully) as i cultivate and develop something more pleasing and representative of a natural balance…

time for spring cleaning….it is that time of the year….

nu rock ballads that you can top rock and pop / lock to…booo yeah

here’s my newly created mix…emotionally syncopated to the ups and downs of life’s beat up path. which mainly consists of one thing that can screw you over in such distinctly opposite ways…screwed to orgasmic euphoria….or screwed with a maelstrom of a mind phuck…that’s right…love. arguably the most central emotion that ties in with everything else. sadness, happiness, jealousy, anger, it all revolves around it in some sort of way. whether your love is for something living or inanimate, material or doesn’t matter.

this is a john cusack a la hi fidelity moment…emotionally driven arrangement of this “metaphorical vinyl”. complete with build up, climax, anti-climax, and of course the super hopeful leap of faith….the rest is left to the imagination

precious mix in the making all of an hour and half of selecting an assortment of nu rock, fused with the breakfast of champions…the underground unsung heros of the 90’s. mix these together…grab your best head phones and a lazy chair…close your eyes and relish and feast on the lyrical perfection of these ballads. guaranteed to please.

so in this particular order:

01 Duncan Sheik – Barely Breathing
02 The Starting Line – A Million Hearts
03 Michelle Branch – Breathe
04 Evan & Jaron – Crazy For This Girl
05 Swirl 360 – Candy In The Sun
06 Cake – Love You Madly
07 Jet – Will You Be My Girl
08 Jarvis Church – She’s In Love With You
09 Maroon 5 – This Love
10 Jimmy Eat World – Sweetness
11 The Tea Party – Heaven Coming Down
12 Brand New – The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows
13 Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Maps
14 Incubus – Here In My Room
15 Evanescence – My Immortal
16 Coldplay – The Scientist
17 3 Doors Down – Here Without You
18 Swirl 360 – Okay
19 Hoobastank – The Reason
20 Hawksley Workman – No Reason To Cry Out Your Eyes (On The Highway Tonight)

This will all fit perfectly on an 80 minute cd…for full effect burn with the following track gaps perfectly timed for you to be carried away to a far away land…fall asleep sweet child…no worries tonight….the future is bright.

punk ass kids

haha this came from a co-worker who got it from some lady that works in our call centre…it’s too damned funny..i had to pass it on..cuz it’s so true..

When I was a kid adults used to bore me to tears with their tedious diatribes about how hard things were when they were growing up; what with walking twenty-five miles to school every morning uphill both ways through year ’round blizzards carrying their younger siblings on their backs too their one-room schoolhouse here they maintained a Straight-A average despite their full-time after-school job at the local textile mill where they worked for 35 cents an hour just to help keep their family from starving to death. And I remember promising myself that when I grew up there was no way in hell I was going to lay a bunch of crap like that on kids about how hard I had it and how easy they’ve got it.

But….Now that I’ve reached the ripe old age of twenty-nine, I can’t help but look around and notice the youth of today. You’ve got it so fuckin’ easy. I mean, compared to my childhood, you live in a goddamned Utopia. And I hate to say it but you kids today you don’t know how good you’ve got it. I mean, when I was
a kid we didn’t have The Internet–we wanted to know something, we had to go to the goddamned library and look it up ourselves. And there was no email.

We had to actually write somebody a letter–with a pen.And then you had to walk all the way across the street and put it in the fuckin’ mailbox and it would take like a week to get there. And there were no MP3s or Napsters. You wanted to steal music, you had to go to the goddamned record store and shop lift it yourself.
Or we had to wait around all day to tape it off the radio and the DJ’d usually talk over the begining and fuck it all up. We didn’t have fancy shit like Call Waiting. If you were on the phone and somebody else called they got a busy signal. And we didn’t have fancy Caller ID Boxes either. When the the phone rang, you had no idea who it was it could be your boss, your mom, a collections agent, your drug dealer, you didn’t know… You just had to pick it up and take your chances, mister. And we didn’t have any fancy Sony Playstation videogames with high-resolution 3-D graphics. We had the Atari 2600. With games like “Space Invaders” and “Asteroids” and the graphics sucked ass. Your guy was a little square. You had to use your imagination. And there were no multiple levels or screens, it was just one screen forever. And you could never win, the game just kept getting harder and faster until you died. Just like LIFE. When you went to the movie theatre there no such thing as stadium seating. All the seats were the same height. A tall guy sat in front of you, you were screwed. And sure, we had cable elevision, but back then that was only like 20 channels and there was no onscreen menu. You had to use a little book called a TV Guide to find out what was on. And there was no Cartoon Network. You could only get cartoons on Saturday morning… …D’ya hear what the fuck I’m saying?. We had to wait ALL WEEK, you spoiled little bastards.

That’s exactly what I’m talking about. You kids today have got it too easy.

The internet itself is full of these proliferating shit…granted i got exposed to it a little earlier on than most..but everything’s so much easier these days on the
internet too…

this dying breed of internet users will definitely agree…i collected mp3s myself on a freaking 14.4 baud modem. this was all before shawn fanning came around with napster. the old school net users who were hard core into mp3 would have to’d have to work your ass off to build your collection…you’d use sites like kermit, oth, and all the old school buggers which i’m going to keep to myself cuz they’re still great sources seeing that kazaa now a days is full of shiet.

sites like xanga were not around and the term “blog” had not yet been coined. they were still “web logs” you had to make your own, you had to be creative. the internet was a tool, and you could use it. now the internet has turned people into tools.

there’s no need to look hard for anything, with a click of a mouse you can have a generic blog on a site like xanga.

i could legitimately sell ads on the net…they certainly weren’t the nuissance they are today. there aren’t these automatic history killers that exist today either..if you wanted to look at porn you had to cover your own tracks.

they should turn the internet into a tiered for the brainless and one for the opinionated. an exclusive club of sorts, like the days you’d dial up to your local BBS. but most don’t even know what that is. most people think email was invented by the internet…

see they should have all us old schoolers on an internet that’s free of spam, popups, xanga, and napster // the quality of the internet would be so much better, and if you wanted to you could forfeit that and have the ease and convenience of a garbage saturated internet.

the rest who are unable to figure out how to get to this VIP internet of sorts…would have to wallow in the same garbage that they themselves are churning out. playing with ease and dealing with garbage. they can continue to believe that they’ll get a “special animation” if they send an instant message to everyone on their list within 5 mins.

yes that is it…and in true burns fashion.

transmission out. smithers…release the hounds.
