Queer

strange and queer things i’ve seen recently. hitchhikers. there seems to be more and more city hitchhikers. i saw one in surrey, and yes some of you are probably going to say that’s expected but i saw one on granville in vancouver too.

the messed up thing isn’t that they’re hitchhiking, but the fact that it seems the unspoken rule is you must hitchhike within 5 metres of a bus stop…

why don’t you just beg for bus change while you’re at it? bus stops seem to be the modern day watering hole. hookers gather there. hitchhikers. hitchhiking hookers. oh hell anybody quite honestly.

and then there seems to be a rise in the amount of handicapped individuals motoring along on the street in their motorized wheel chairs. yes i’ve ranted on this before…but it seems they hibernate in summer and come out in crummy weather. you know when it’s dark early and when it’s the easiest to run these dumbasses over. maybe it’s the depressing weather they just wanna kill themselves so they drive their little carts on the road instead of the sidewalk.

once again, that’s what the city has invested all that money into putting ramps on sidewalks for…the handicapped people. it’s so you don’t get your ass run over on the street. just cuz your wheelchair is propelled doesn’t mean you belong.

i’m also sick of the let’s not call them “disabled” or “handicapped” politically correct terminology let’s call them “differently-abled” instead. what the fuck? they are DIS-abled. they have the dis-ability of walking. they’re crippled. call me heartless, but i’m not i’m stating the facts. tell me how a person who’s confined to a wheel chair is differently-abled? what ability do they all of a sudden possess that i as an able-bodied person do not?

do they all of a sudden have the ability to manuever a joystick that propels a chair on wheels? last time i checked i could sit in one of those things as well and wiggle a joystick.

what different ability do they have? they make it sound like disabled people are mutants out of some comic, social outcasts that have some sort of special ability to levitate shit with their minds. they’re not professor X i’m sorry.

i’m sorry but i don’t know a single disabled person who MINDS being called disabled. well at least the ones that have good self-esteem and are okay with themselves. whoever came up with the bright idea to call them differently-abled so that they could feel better about themselves is full of crap.

if i was disabled and someone told me i was differently-abled, i’d examine myself realize that i’m not and feel worse off.

i think we should just do away with sugar coating anything, political correctness is retarded (

Strangely Interesting

  • Check this out. Someone took the time to draw a pic of Homer Simpson purely in CSS.

  • Not feeling safe at night? How about a table that turns into a shield and bat?

  • Seeing as I will most likely never climb Everest, this will have to do.  Someone has kindly created this 360 Degree panorama of the view from the top.
