Monk McQueen's
My Overall Informal Rating: 8/10
Monk McQueen’s consists of Monk’s Oyster Bar and Monk’s Upstairs. The latter of which is the more formal dining area and like it’s moniker is situated above the Oyster Bar.Monk’s Oyster Bar was where I dined and it was quite delicious. October 1st was the start of the crab fest apparently and so they had a special menu to celebrate. There was a lot of crab dishes however I personally had the Monk’s Mixed Grill Platter.
This consisted of prawns, scallops, ahi tuna, wild salmon, muscles and clams which is all served over rice and pea shoots. All the seafood was very fresh and tasty. It is on the pricier side of the scale, however the food is tasty and what you pay extra compared to other restaurant goes into the view that you have.
It’s situated on Stamp’s Landing and has a great view across the water to ::wikipedia(Yaletown, Yaletown):: and the North Shore.
