Six Degrees Of Bono

Six Degrees Of Bono

I’m not sure who decided on Kevin Bacon being the centre of this whole six degrees phenomenon. I’m voting for Bono. Not necessarily in the same sense of how everyone is supposedly only 6 degrees away from Kevin Bacon however. I’m choosing Bono for Six Degrees of influence.

I suppose that is an unfair appointment of Bono over Kevin Bacon in that department, seeing that Bono actively uses his influence for high profile humanitarian and charity work. His reach is far and wide and it’s not just him, it’s the entire band — ::wikipedia(U2,U2)::

Finished Catching Up On Books

Lately I haven’t been sleeping too well again. However this has provided me the oportunity to catch up on some reading. It started out being an activity I was doing in an attempt to put myself to sleep. I think it’s time to toss that notion out as a means to end my insomnia.

Google Calendar, More Domination.

Google Calendar, More Domination.

In another move towards total and absolute domination in your daily life. Google Calendar is now live and ready to be used. Check it out here.

You need your Google Account to get in. It works pretty much like the Gmail interface, and I find it’s much quicker and easier to add events than to use my Outlook Calendar. I can see why Microsoft might be a little worried about their Office software. Especially after Google acquired Writely. Soon everything will just be a web based application provided by Google.

Wow after an entire week of not hearing a word from the kidnappers, police have found Graham McMynn “alive and well”.

It really does prove that our law enforcement is on top of things.  They surrounded a house earlier today in East Vancouver and are apparently apprehending the suspects.  I’m sure more news will be released later today.

Graham McMynn Kidnapping

It’s been a week since the kidnapping of Graham McMynn the son of one of the local millionaires here in Vancouver. It’s like something from a movie here in the west. I hear kidnappings are far more common place in certain areas in Asia and Europe, but here? In Vancouver, Canada?

It was a clearly orchestrated affair, with Graham being kidnapped at gunpoint from his car when leaving his home with his girlfriend last week.

The police had requested that no details be released to the media which includes what Graham looks like, however since that time the McMynn family have released 2 pleas. One of which his father shows his son’s photo.

Strangely Interesting

  • Check this out. Someone took the time to draw a pic of Homer Simpson purely in CSS.

  • Not feeling safe at night? How about a table that turns into a shield and bat?

  • Seeing as I will most likely never climb Everest, this will have to do.  Someone has kindly created this 360 Degree panorama of the view from the top.
