Where Have You Been?

Where Have You Been?

I’ve been absent from life for the past little while. In that time what has been happening? Well I’ve embarked on a new journey of sorts with all sorts of changes happening here and there.

I now do financial planning on the side as opposed to full time and I’ve re-tapped into some more creative endeavors. I’m essentially freelancing again. Doing various design and production work. I’ve picked up a few web contracts here and there. I’ve become involved in essentially being a transient producer on a few low key documentaries that will hopefully air on local tv by 2007.

I’ve been reconnecting with people, attending a wedding and getting involved in other non-profit charitable ventures. On the web front I’ve become a contributing author to the Vancouver Metroblog and have attended one of their meetups.

I’ve had the opportunity to check out numerous pre-screenings of some films in the last few weeks. John Tucker Must Die (blech I can never turn down screeenings), Little Miss Sunshine (This is a hilariously dark comedy), and World Trade Centre.

I booked it down to Seattle twice in the last few weeks too, once for fun and shopping and once to show some out of towners.

In the coming weeks I’ll be releasing some more scripts/plugins. I’ll also be attending the unveiling for Workspace.

I’m not sure where I’ll be in the coming days but I’m sure it’ll be just as exciting and time consuming as the past 2-3 weeks have been.

Strangely Interesting

  • Check this out. Someone took the time to draw a pic of Homer Simpson purely in CSS.

  • Not feeling safe at night? How about a table that turns into a shield and bat?

  • Seeing as I will most likely never climb Everest, this will have to do.  Someone has kindly created this 360 Degree panorama of the view from the top.
