So today was a long day involving a drive up to Edmonton from Calgary and working all day. I’m finally checked into the hotel and it’s pretty nice. The Marriott Courtyard.  Nice King size bed and king size room with panoramic windows and nice fluffy carpets and soaker tub. Valet parking, high speed internet etc.

It’s definitely a nice finish to a long hard day.  Unfortunately I still have to edit and compile over 278 short video clips and get them uploaded to the net. Tomorrow is another long day. I’m hoping there’ll be time to do the bungee jump at the West Edmonton Mall.  It’s actually pretty reasonably priced. Continue reading Marriott Courtyard

Alberta is definitely the place to be in Canada if you’re looking for a job. Especially with the boosted economy from the oil boom. Honestly though, this is insane. Have you ever heard of a fast food joint giving a signing bonus?

So I’m currently writing this from a pseudo-basement laundry room of a hotel. I’m waiting for my laundry to finish drying. I’m finding this last little stretch of this work contract to be a bit tiring.

I’m almost done hanging out with the random people I know and have recently met on the road. Next stop will be Edmonton and then Banff and then I finally get to return home.

Seeing as I have nothing better to do I’ve been watching the news quite intently in this hotel room. I’m glad to hear former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani announcing he’ll be in the 2008 Presidential race. It should definitely make for a very interesting and revolutionary future for America.

I’m liking the outlooks for the US. With Clinton / Obama / Giuliani that’s more than enough options for the American public over Bush. That’s my two cents.

So Howard Johnson has been my friend and will continue to be so for the rest of the month. It’s mildly depressing quite honestly. I’ve pretty much been in and out of a suitcase for the past half year. Some of it by choice and some of it not.

This time around it’s for work. I’m the videographer for a tour traveling across Canada. I’m only taking care of the western portion so right now I’m in Calgary and will be making stops in Edmonton and Banff.
